NOAH members grades 6th – 12th   are invited to participate in an essay contest sponsored by Ocutech, Inc. addressing the question statement, “How Low Vision Aids Impact my Life.” 

Essays submitted to the Ocutech Essay Contest will be reviewed by a panel of judges.  The winner will receive a $500 cash award to support his or her education. An equal contribution will be made to NOAH in the winner’s name to support the organization’s efforts to increase community awareness of the value of low vision care for individuals with albinism. The award will be announced at the opening event of the 2012 NOAH conference. The winner may be asked to read their essay at the NOAH conference if they plan to attend. 


Submitted essays must be in a Word document (.doc or .docx compliant), 800 words maximum, double-spaced, 14-point Arial type font, with each page numbered. The header of each page must show the entrant’s full name, age, name of school, hometown and state, phone number and email address. If the author is a minor, the parents must approve the entry.

In house reservation staff should be able to assist with booking side by side rooms, but note these rooms do not have connecting doors. 
NOAH strongly encourages you to book your room as part of the conference block. NOAH's conference rate compares favorably with all other booking options. Attendees booking their room as part of the NOAH group block receive discounted parking of $10.00 per day (regularly $18.00 per day) and complimentary guest room internet access ($9.95 per day). Reservations made through the NOAH block are refundable with 72 hours notice.

Personal Grants! ~ the application period for personal grants has passed. NOAH will continue to accept submissions for second-round consideration in the even that funds are still available. Questions may be directed to

NOAH will make personal grants to to those needing financial assistance to attend the conference based on donations received for the program.  Please be advised that such funds are limited.  NOAH's Online Personal Grant Application requires documentation of application for other funding sources.
